Fun Activities in Las Vegas
Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve

Did you know that there is a Birding Preserve in Henderson? I didn’t. The preserve is located at 350 East Galleria Drive, near the intersection of Galleria Drive & Boulder Highway. Sitting on 140 acres, it is home to thousands of migratory waterfowl as well as numerous desert birds. Easy walking, wheelchair accessible. For more info, 702-267-4180. It is located within the water reclamation facility.

The Lion Habitat Ranch also in Henderson, about 20 minutes west of the strip is a Non-Profit Sanctuary for Lions. They also have a Giraffe who paints pictures that are available for sale. The admission into the Park varies from local rates to out of state visitors from $10-25. They also offer opportunities (for an additional cost) for you to be a trainer for the day, feed the lions or giraffe or you can feast with the beasts.
Currently they are closed, but will be re-opening soon to the park. www.lionhabitatranch.org

Flamingo Habitat - Flamingo Facts and Information
https://www.flamingos-world.com/Flamingo-habitat One of the biggest threats right now to the natural habitat of the Flamingo takes place in Tanzania around Lake Natron. This is do to a factory in the area that produces soda in this part of Africa. The amount of salt in the water changes often due to this plant and that makes it hard for the Flamingos to always find enough food or enough fresh water to survive.

Here I am in Las Vegas and I am so guilty of never going to any of the above. I may not have my grandchildren here, but I am still a big kid at heart and I would enjoy visiting these places. Plus, all of this shows, that Las Vegas is not just about gambling-there is so much more to see and do and these are only a few of the activities available.
I always want to inspire you to travel-be a tourist for the day in your hometown. Please share, like, follow, etc. Thanks for reading.
