Corona Virus Quarantine-Another Day

This is take 2-I just spent 2 hours on this dang blog and it was wiped out for whatever reason. Hopefully this will be as good or better than the first one.
This is UnHappy Me. I am not doing well with this self-Isolation. If I wanted that, I would live in the country. But I live in the city and I love the social activities that are offered.
So, I'm going to complain for a little bit and then I'll be more cheerful.
I am trying to keep busy with reading. I am re-reading the 3 book series 666 Park Avenue by Gabriella Pierce. They even did one season of a Tv series based on the book, which I never had a chance to see, but Hurricane Sandy in 2012 damaged all the sets used, the project was put aside and never revitalized. If anyone has that one season and can forward it to me, I would appreciate it. The books you can get for free from the library.
I also recently finished the book Influencer by Brittany Hennesey-very good. Everything you need to know, if you want to be a digital influencer. That's my goal. I want to continue to inspire everyone to travel and maybe get some free travel out of it.
I'm currently reading One Million Followers: How I built a massive social following in 30 days by Brendan Kane-I'm learning a lot from it. Worth reading.
In addition, I am taking an online graphic arts course with an app named RIPL. It's very easy and I'm really enjoying it.
Many of you are watching TV & movies during the day. I try not to watch TV before 6pm. Just a habit that I don't want to start.
Same thing with wine, I try not to drink any before 5pm (except for on vacations).
So far, I've been able to keep my appetite under control, but many of my friends are saying they are eating everything in their site. I may be in the same boat soon-eating out of boredom.
The only good thing about this self-quarantine, is I'm saving lots of money. No happy hours or meetups.

I miss traveling so much. I miss my lots of vacations.
I'm tentatively planning a trip to Eastern Europe to visit Budapest, Prague & Bucharest (I want to see Dracula's castle). Also, Mt. Rushmore & Yellowstone National Park. Plus, a Caribbean Cruise with friend, Maria.
Still planned are a cruise to the Mexican Riviera in September and a Fall Foilage Cruise in October.

Life at Southwest Airlines: I'm working. I'm lucky to have a job. I'm making lots of money from all the schedule changes we are experiencing. But my work trips are becoming long, boring and lonely.
To minimize contact with our customers, we are no longer offering beverages and snacks. Water is available on request. This is for everyone's safety. I thought working more would be okay, but it's not. There is no socializing at the hotels. Food at the hotels is only available on a take-out basis. Hot food is not available at all hotels. Small airports that we serve have no food at all available to purchase. Both the pilots and the flight attendants have had to become very creative with bringing their own food. Many are now bringing 2 huge lunch bags and a Hot Logic. Hot Logic is a small oven that you plug into an electrical outlet and in about 1 hour, your food is hot. It weighs less than 2 pounds and is available on Amazon and costs about $30. I have one with me all of the time now.

Don't forget about my YouTube Channel-Travel Adventures with Valerie Brown. Right now, I'm focusing on letting people know about fun festivals worth attending after July 1st within the US. These are short videos (about 3 minutes) and are coming out every 2-3 days. Lots of fun things to do.
Send me info about your festivals in your state, that you have enjoyed.
I'm enjoying doing these videos and I'm getting a little better all the time. In fact, in the last 30 days, 1,300 people have watched my videos-so I am making a differece.
So let me inspire you to travel again, someday. Keep reading my blog, watching my YouTube Channel. Valerie Brown
